In 2005, the year of the first annual Lindsay's Legacy 5K Run, over $13,000.00 was raised towards the fight against childhood cancer. Participation was so high that this race ranked sixteenth out of the area’s ninety 5K runs in its first year! Funds raised were donated to the Rhabdomyosarcoma Research Laboratory of Dr. Frederic Barr at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and to Carly's Club, Roswell Park Cancer Institute's official pediatric fundraising division.

Although this race is for a very important cause, it's meant to be a fun event whether you're a serious runner or just out to enjoy a leisurely autumn walk.

If you participated last year, we hope to see you again. Likewise, if you are a newcomer to the Lindsay's Legacy 5K Run, we sincerely look forward to your participation ... and we hope that it will become an annual affair for you. Please tell your friends and steer them to this web site.

Oh, yeah, one more requirement: bring the good weather with you! Our first year was blessed with spectacular sunny weather - let's do it again!
